TREE PLANTATION DRIVE REPORT 3 May 2023

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE was conducted at SRMIST, Kattankulathur campus on 03.05.2023 at 10:00 AM by the NSS volunteers from BBA classes of College of Management, along with volunteers from faculty of engineering in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur – 603 203.

The program was inaugurated by the Dr.V.Thirumurugan, Associate Director and Nodal Officer of UBA, Dr.V.M.Shenbagaraman, Professor and Dean I/C Chairperson, Education Program, College of Management and by overall NSS Coordinator of SRMIST,  Dr.T. Lakshmanan

 Followed by the inauguration, the welcome and felicitation address was given by the NSS Program Coordinator, Dr. K. Maheswari, Assistant Professor, College of Management. All the heads motivated the students towards sustainability drive and make it has habit to protect our environment and preserve resources for future generation.

In the TREE PLANTATION DRIVE, 30 NSS volunteers participated and planted the tree saplings behind the sports ground area.

Mr. N.S.Sridhar, UBA Cell, SRMIST Coordinated the entire program. At the end of the program, the following pledge was taken.

I shall do my best for protecting the earth and its natural environment.

I shall also adopt such practices that would minimize wastage.

I shall reuse whatever I can.

I shall take care to clean up the environment.

I shall reduce the waste we create.

I shall plant more trees.

I shall conserve energy and water.
