My India Project Second Visit (01.03.2025) - Cleanliness Drive at Singa Perumal Koil Higher Secondary school.

 

 

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan - SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), in collaboration with the My India Project, successfully conducted a cleanliness drive on 1st March 2025 at Singaperumal Koil Higher Secondary School. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics departments. The primary aim of the event was to promote awareness regarding hygiene and environmental cleanliness among school students and the local community. The event commenced with a brief orientation by faculty coordinators and student leaders, emphasizing the importance of maintaining clean surroundings for better health and well-being.

During the drive, the volunteers actively engaged in cleaning the school premises, including classrooms, playgrounds, corridors, and surrounding areas. Waste materials were collected, segregated, and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. Alongside the cleaning activities, students also conducted brief awareness sessions for the school students, highlighting the significance of cleanliness and sustainable practices. The school administration appreciated the initiative and extended their support throughout the event. The collaboration fostered a sense of social responsibility among the college students and created a meaningful impact on the local community.
